Paul Kanter | Photography

I've always been visually-oriented (being an optometrist and all!), so I guess photography naturally follows ...  Started with a Kodak Instamatic X-35 in my teens (so it's gotta be, uh, let's see ... 10 or 15 yrs ago now ...) which gave me images in a square format.

Sometimes that makes it difficult to create a compelling composition, but I tried!  Only later did I get introduced to stuff like f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO, etc etc.  In any event, I hope you enjoy my work!

As is likely true for any artist, my goal for my photography is to find a perspective, an angle, a symmetry or asymmetry that has rarely been considered before.

I seek patterns, geometries, and movement or stillness in a variety of subjects:  abstracts, botanicals, macro, architecture, landscapes, even the occasional vintage aircraft and cars!  My preference is metal prints, with their eye-popping color, detail, and easy maintenance. If you have a particular subject matter, color scheme, or print size in mind, I also offer custom work.  Let me know what you think ...
